ICS 485: Video Game Design
This game was created as an individual project for my game design class. The general concept of the game is that you are a being made of light in a world of darkness. You must collect energy crystals to fuel your light attacks to defeat the boss without getting hit.
Lost & Found in SPACE

Global Game Jam 2021
The theme for this year's Global Game Jam is "Lost and Found." We created a 2D co-op game in Unity & coded in C#. The main idea is that Player 1 is lost and trapped in a room that's trying to kill him. Player 2 has to run through the map and solve puzzles to find Player 1 before he is killed.

This was my final project for my Data Visualization class. I was part of a team of 3 that created a website to visualize data on Manta Ray sightings in Kāne'ohe Bay. Website was created for a Marine Biology student's personal project and data is continuously collected.

This was my final group project for Bioinformatics. We utilized deep learning methods to predict if a patient had cancer and what type of cancer based on their genomes.

As our final project for VR class, my team created a 2-player VR game call SPIES. Player 1 is the spy in a VR world and attempts to complete their mission with the help of Player 2, the tech support, who is armed with a manual and console on a regular desktop.
Predicting Student Success

ICS 635: Machine Learning & ICS 691: Data Science
This was my final project for my Machine Learning and Data Science classes. I used grades and various background info on students to create a model that predicts whether a student would be successful in Algebra 2. The data came from the high school I used to teach at and I gave my model back to the math department for them to use with future students.
Hangry Fix

ICS 314: Software Engineering
As the final project for Software Engineering, we were tasked to create a Web App that would benefit our campus. We chose to create an app called hangryFIX that is similar to Yelp, but is focused on the actual food items, rather than restaurants since that is generally more important when you are really hungry. I worked on a team of 3 to create a Meteor web app that utilized React Semantic UI as a tool to write it.
Accreditation Leader

Accreditation is a 2-3 year process that all schools must go through every 10 years or so to essentially make sure they are doing their job as a school. While I was a teacher at Castle High School, I was chosen to be the technology leader for one of the accreditation teams.
Trig Cube

I did part of my student teaching in a Trigonometry class and was tasked with designing a project for them. Since I like puzzles, I thought it would be fun to create a puzzle cube to help them practice their Trig identities and of course, logic.
