This table shows the cholera fatalities in Naples broken down by age and gender. As you can see, the older age groups had a higher number of fatalities for both men and women.



This table shows the population distribution for the UK during the same time period broken down by age and gender. The pie and bar charts below show that distribution broken into males and females. Note the two distributions are very similar, with the population counts decreasing with respect to age group. In otherwords, there are more young people than older people.
